Chai tea is filled to the brim with antioxidants and warming spices that are not just good to drink, they work wonders on the skin.

Black Tea: Full of antioxidant-rich polyphenolic compounds, black tea can help protect the skin from environmental damage from pollutants and toxicants we are exposed to on a daily basis. Black tea also has a high caffeine content, which may help to reduce the look of tired, aging skin and puffiness.

Cardamom Pods, Cinnamon, and Ginger: Together, these three spices make an amazing warming trifecta for the skin that may even help control breakouts and help you achieve that glow you’ve been longing for all winter! The warming effect of these spices help you get your blood moving, promoting the movement of anti-inflammatory proteins and cells in the blood along with lymph to keep your immune system on its toes.

Granulated Sugar: Sugar scrubs physically exfoliate the skin, removing the top layer of dry, dead skin that seems to always build up during the winter months when we might not be paying as much attention to our skin (we’re totally guilty!) Removing this outer layer of skin assists allows for deeper penetration of skin care products and can give your skin an amazing glow.

Grapeseed Oil: this oil is one of our all-time favorites for skin care because it’s so lightweight and won’t clog your pores but it will intensely hydrate your skin! Adding an oil to scrubs is amazing because while the sugar exfoliates, the oil is able to more deeply penetrate the skin and nourish it at a deeper level. Grapeseed oil is also extremely rich in Vitamin E, which can also improve the overall look and feel of your skin.
